Last year, we had a chance to see some of the great new vehicles and here are the best-selling cars in 2016 in the USA. It comes to no surprise that the F-Series from Ford is at the first place with incredible 820,799 units sold.
The second position belongs to another American truck – the Chevrolet Silverado, which managed to record 574,876 sales. The Silverado is followed by Ram Truck Line and Toyota Camry with 489,418 and 388,616 units sold respectively. It is worth mentioning that GMC Sierra reached 221,680 sales, while Toyota Tundra stopped at 115,489 vehicles sold to the customers.
The mid-size truck segment is interesting, but we expected the dominance of the Toyota Tacoma that is sold in 191,631 examples. GMC Canyon disappointed with only 37,449 units sold, while 108,725 customers managed to afford the Chevy Colorado.
The Nissan Frontier is still competent, and although it was introduced back in 2004 as the D40 Navara, it managed to sell 86,926 units in 2016. It is argued that the ongoing model of Frontier is the oldest truck on sale in North America.
Toyota Camry is on the top of the list when it comes to vehicles designed to transport passengers primarily. We have already mentioned its sales, and the Camry won against the Honda Accord that sold 345,225 examples. The Corolla family led a tough battle against the Civic models, and it managed to outsell Civic by 11,283 units (378,210 to 366,927).
