Tony Romo Leads Cowboys To Their First Touchdown Against The Eagles

Tony Romo had to leave Cowboys’ 2015 Thanksgiving Day game because of an injury. He was declared out for the season and put on Injured Reserve list. Everybody expected him to be back for this campaign, leading the Cowboys, but another injury and the emergence of Dak Prescott prevented that from happening.

Today, against the Eagles in Philly, he took the field for the first time since 2015 Thanksgiving day. It looked like he really didn’t lose a single step as he led the Dallas Cowboys right to the end zone on his first drive. He capped off that scoring movement with a 3-yard TD pass to Terrence Williams. It was a beautiful over-the-top pass, perfectly placed in the corner of the end zone.

Dak Prescott started the game under center, but it was expected for Romo and even Sanchez also to get some playing time as the Cowboys have already secured a home-field advantage and don’t have a thing to play for in Philly.

After playing in the first quarter, Dak Prescott was pulled for Tony Romo who went 3/4 for 29 yards and one TD. But then, he was also replaced after that TD drive and Mark Sanchez took the field in the second quarter as well.

Dallas clearly wants to involve their backup quarterbacks and get them ready to possibly step up in the Playoffs if something happens to Dak Prescott. Football is an unpredictable game, and you never know when a player can go down. You need to be ready for all that comes with the roughness of the football, and the Cowboys are preparing for all scenarios.
