Tampa Bay Bucs were in a good position to make the postseason. Everything looked well until the fourth quarter of their matchup with the Dallas Cowboys started. That was the turning point of their season as their winning streak was broken and their campaign went south. They still have a shot at making the Playoffs, but a lot of things have to go their way on the final Sunday of the regular season. And we mean a lot.
First of all, they need to beat the Panthers. That’s given and not impossible. Cam Newton has struggled with accuracy as of late, but this team is still dangerous. If the Bucs manage to beat their divisional rival, they need five teams to lose. Of course, two of them are their direct rivals, the Packers, and the Redskins. You probably expected that as well.
What you didn’t expect is that Indianapolis Colts and the Eagles also need to lose their duels. That’s also possible since Philly is facing Dallas while the Colts are going up against the Jags, a squad that they couldn’t beat in London. The toughest one to think about is Seattle losing to the San Franciso 49ers. If they are going to make the Playoffs, all of this needs to happen.
If it does, the Bucs will have the strength of victory tiebreaker and would make it in. But, let’s not forget about the Panthers. They are still a decent team, and they will be looking to avenge their loss earlier this season. This is going to be a tight contest, but we are going to roll with the Bucs at home. Tampa Bay will win 20:17.
