iPad Pro 2 and Surface Pro 5 will go on sale next year, and the customers will have a chance to watch two technology rivals go against each other.
iPad Pro 2
We expect to see the new iPad Pro 2 with a lot of new updates, considering that the ongoing iPad has not been improved significantly compared to previous version. According to Bloomberg, the new device could use the A10 X chip, which would enhance the performance of the gadget. Apple has also discussed 3D Touch and TrueTone recently, so it is possible that we see these technologies in the new Pro 2.
Three variants of the iPad Pro 2 will be available as the analyst Ming Chi Kuo stated and one of these three will be a 10.5-inch tablet that is designed for education purposes primarily. On the other hand, the smallest version will not be expensive, but it will feature A9 X. The new iPad will use the iOS 11 as an operating system, and rumor has it that the device will hit the market at WWDC 2017 in June. OLED panels, which have been speculated will not make it to the new iPad right now.
Surface Pro 5
The hardware specs and the dimension of the Surface Pro 5 will definitely be changed, but according to a report, Kaby Lake processor might not be used on a new device. As PCAdvisor stated, Microsoft demoed Windows 10 running on the ARM-based computer, but we don’t know what will power the Surface Pro 5.
We expect to see the new device with 16 GB of RAM, and 256 GB of internal storage and rumor has it that the Pro 5 will come out with 2K and 4K displays. Moreover, there will be a brand new rechargeable Surface Pen. The Surface Pro 5 might go on sale in October 2017.
