Dallas Cowboys just lost their second game of the season. Both of those losses came against the New York Giants. In the big picture, this loss doesn’t really hurt them much, but what can be a problem is the way that their offense has played in the past couple of weeks. They were lucky to win the game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Prescott didn’t really do much to move the ball in that match, and he did even less against the Giants. He has won 11 straight games for this squad going into the matchup against the Giants so by that fact alone he should be the quarterback of this team.
But, there are some things that point to why Romo should be back in as a starter. Prescott hasn’t been able to move the ball as well as he did three rounds ago. This offense is being stagnant, and some would say that they need refreshing going into the Playoffs. Romo would provide that.
Prescott had a nice connection with some of his wideout earlier in the season, but he hasn’t been able to connect with them in the past couple of games. Romo is a better and more experienced passer than Prescott so that could be a good thing for this team. Dez Bryant and Tony Romo are also on the same page, and that connection could make some big plays when it’s time to make them in the postseason.
Dak Prescott still deserves to be a starter. On the other hand, we can think of few reasons why Romo should be in the lineup.
