Both of these teams had an atrocious year that they will likely want to forget as soon as Week 17 of the regular season ends.
Jets have made a change at the quarterback position after the loss to the Colts on Monday Night Football. Fitzpatrick will spend the rest of the season on the bench watching Brice Petty throwing the ball. This was the best decision for this team as their young signal caller should get some experience in these games. Jets have nothing to play for, and they made the right call inserting him back into the lineup.
49ers had a troubling day this past Sunday on the offensive side of the ball. Colin Kaepernick was benched after throwing for just 5 yards in the game. Gabbert was back in, and it’s going to be interesting to see who is going to start for Niners on Sunday. This season will end as one of the worst in the recent history for this franchise, and they have a lot of work to do in the offseason.
This is a perfect game for Petty to start and gain confidence by playing some good football. Niners defense is one of the worst in the NFL without Bowman to lead them. The stats show that too. That’s why we are going to pick the Jets to win this duel.
