BMW has been working diligently on their new full-size SUV ever since they have made an official announcement two years ago. The new model will be named X7, and some its largest rivals are Audi Q7, Land Rover Range Rover Long-Wheelbase and the famous Jeep Grand Wagoneer, which has not yet reached the market. Considering that the number of SUVs rises and their popularity increases, the 2019 BMW X7 will also go against Lincoln Navigator, Cadillac Escalade, and Mercedes-Benz GLS.
There are some spy photos from which we can conclude that the new vehicle looks a lot alike a stretched version of prototypes for the new X5. However, the new X7 looks more muscular, but have in mind that the grille and the headlights we can see on this prototype are only used for testing, so they will be replaced when it goes to production.

The BMW’s flexible CLAR platform will be employed, and we have already seen this platform in the 2016 7-Series and 2017 5-Series. The new vehicle will feature plastic materials reinforced with carbon fiber. A hybrid version is also expected, but this has yet to be confirmed. Under the hood, the customers will be able to find a V8 and I6 engine options, which will be offered as standard. A V12 unit that has been reported to come with M760i M Performance trim has been rumored for sportiest version of 2019 BMW X7.
It is still early to talk about interior and features, but three rows of seats is something that will definitely come. The 2016 7-Series cockpit design will most likely be transferred to the X7, but with some minor modifications.
