Miami Dolphins have had a horrendous start to this 2016 NFL season. They played some decent defense and had some offensive bursts here and there, but this team was lacking the consistency that every squad needs. Not just on a week-to-week basis, but also in each quarter of the match. Now, they have won a couple of games in a row, so we need to pay attention to this crew as they are in a Wild Card spot at the moment.
5-4 is a good record for them after the start that they had. Their defense is not bad at all. They are stopping people and protecting the offense by not giving them difficult tasks. Tannehill just needs to avoid making big mistakes and needs to make some big plays here and there. At the end of the day, they are not relying on their quarterback to win them games. Dolphins are relying on that defense and their young running back Jay Ajayi.
Their opponents this week will be the Los Angeles Rams who will be lead by the 1st overall pick in 2016 NFL Draft. Yes, you read that correctly. Jeff Fisher has finally decided that it’s time for Case Keenum to sit on the bench and let Jared Goff play. Goff will make career debut on Sunday, and it’s safe to say that all eyes will be on him.
It won’t be an easy game for a new quarterback. Miami has some pass rush that will bother him and make him make quick decisions. Fisher needs to protect him in his debut by allowing him to make safe throws in order to gain confidence, but also not turn the ball over.
We expect Goff to be solid on Sunday, but we can’t pick the Rams in this one. Miami needs to win this duel, and we think they are going to get the job done. It’s going to be a high-scoring game, but the final result will be 34:28 in favor of the Dolphins.
