Google recently released its first ever smartphone under Pixel nameplate which is rumored to be better than two of its main competitors. iPhone 7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 respectively. The crowd has been satisfied but not completely. What they want now is to know when is Google going to release its tablet. Google Nexus 7 was expected at the same time when Internet search giant released two of its smartphones. Pixel X and Pixel XL.
That, as we all know, didn’t happen but fans remained confident that their loved company is going to surprise them for Christmas holidays. Otherwise, all of us would have to wait for this tablet until 2017.
Some time ago Google decided to re-brand its Nexus mobile devices into Pixel phones and with this many expected that Nexus 7 Tablet will get a new name too. Some of the most mentioned are Pixel Pro and Google Pixel 7.
Nothing is official as of yet because Google has kept its mouth shut. The entire development of Nexus 7 currently only exists on a level of a rumor. Everybody expected that first word about this tablet would come out together with Pixel smartphones presentation. This didn’t happen, and now everyone is worried that it won’t occur during this year. Other who are staying more enthusiastic believe that new Nexus 7 will come before the end of this year, so Google has a little bit more time.
Most of these rumors started when Google’s Huawei-built 7-inch tablet with 4GB RAM was announced by Evan Blass on Twitter.
Other, unconfirmed rumors about Nexus 7, suggest that this gadget will run on Andromeda OS, it will have AMOLED 7-inch display, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 829 processor with Adreno 530 GPU. Regarding the camera, it will bring a 13-megapixel rear camera, but it is not clear if the front facing unit is available. Furthermore, we have a 5,100mAh battery and a USB Type-C connectivity. Google enthusiast expect it to be lighter and thinner than its predecessor was.
The price of Google Nexus 7 has been biggest unknown so far, but it is projected to be very affordable compared to the quality and specs that it will bring. The main reason why many suspect in its December release is the fact that its main competitor Apple iPad Pro is not expected until the March of 2017. Even if December is the option that we desire the most, anything before the March will be accepted with opened arms.
