A couple of days ago Ford Performance presented a Bronco-styled buggy and it looks amazing. It will be driven by the Formula Drift champion Vaughn Gittin Jr. The first we will have to see the buggy is in the 2017 King of the Hammers.
The race is 165 miles long and it is one of the toughest races in the car world. It takes place on the Means Dry Lake in Johnson Valley, California and sometimes drivers can go fast through the desert, whereas sometimes they go over dangerous rocks very carefully.
The race was held in February and this year Gittin finished 10th and for a rookie, it is a fascinating result. He declared that he gained some experience drifting his Ford Mustang RTR, but the result suggests that he should put to work even more.
The nickname of the vehicle in which we will see Gittin next year is Brocky. It is developed by Jimmy’s 4×4 and no original Bronco is destroyed in the process. The buggy rides on 37-inch tires and its body is made of fiberglass which covers the tube frame.
This vehicle is equipped with a Ford Performance 427 V8 engine that produces 600hp. It is paired with a three-speed automatic gearbox. Furthermore, there are front and rear differentials, each with low and high ranges which can be engaged independently.
