Well, it seems that these days everything is possible. If you wish to shed some daylight on a new model from your company, just call it – Night Edition. Crazy as it sounds that is just what Hyundai did with its 2017 Tucson Sport model. But that is not something that happened just to Hyundai company, GMC, Jeep, and even Mercedes-Benz models all offered special “night” editions these past years.
It showed its face at the SEMA event in Las Vegas, but no one knows why. How come that Hyundai felt that just two years into the current-generation Tucson had to join the “night edition” wagon? Well, let’s not worry about that right now, let’s check out the vehicle.
2017 Hyundai Tucson Sport Night Edition is just what its name says – Tucson Sport (second most expensive trim that South Korean carmaker offers) but with some additional features like 19-inch matte-black Rays wheels, black-tinted panoramic sunroof, and gloss-black mirrors. Not everything is actually black, on this vehicle, there are some bright parts such as aluminum pedals and a perforated leather steering wheel that moves the interiors style to another level. Then there are LED lights, red Rays center caps, and red valve-stem caps as a cherry on top (or side at this case).
There are a few Night Edition compatible color schemes approved by Hyundai and those are gray, white, black, and the sharp Caribbean Blue (which you can see on the pictures). What is unknown is the info about the possible price tag for this beauty. We presume that the pricing will be set to $2,000 premium on the price of the 2017 Hyundai Tucson Sport. The sales should start later this fall, and it will be available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. Other useful info for you is that the Night Edition will be a limited series with only 4,000 models made, which makes around half of all Tucson models sold in October alone. Now that you know almost everything, if you like it, hurry up and run to your local dealer and order one before it’s sold out!
