Tom Brady is considered to be the leading candidate for NFL MVP award as he is on fire ever since he came back from the suspension. But, Matt Ryan has also been highly impressive so far, and he cemented his spot in the MVP conversation last night in Tampa. His Falcons blew out the Bucs on the road while Matt Ryan did most of the damage and was the best player on the field.
He is leading the league is passing yards and has been maybe even the best quarterback in the NFL. Matty Ice is so good this year that you can easily make an argument that he is the one that deserves the MVP award over Brady since he’s been on the field since Week 1.
Last night, he made another statement as he went 24/35 for 344 passing yards and four touchdowns with no picks. Perfect game for Ryan on the road against the divisional rival. Bucs made a run at them in the past couple of weeks, but with this victory, there is almost no doubt about the fact that Falcons are going to take the top spot in the division.
This team is now at 6-3 while Ryan has been great so far and deserves the credit that we are giving him. But, if he wants to win the MVP over Brady, he needs to keep playing like he did last night against the Bucs. Considering his weapons and how good he’s been so far, that is not going to be a problem for Matty Ice.
