Tennessee Titans can actually make the playoffs. Texans do not impress anyone, and they are leading the division by default. Titans are not that far behind and with some consistent play, this team can make some noise in the division. A victory against Jags last Thursday night was much wanted, but they need to keep going in that winning direction.
San Diego Chargers are a much better football team than their record shows. They have dropped some close games early in the season, and it looks like that those games are going to cost them a lot since all of their divisional rivals are in a playoff race. It’s hard when you need to make up some ground on one rival, but Chargers need to catch three squads that are above them right now.
Titans defense is pretty decent, and they’ll need to perform at a high level against Phillip Rivers led offense. Demarco Murray is giving them just what they hoped for when they acquired him in the offseason and a big workload on Sunday against bad Chargers defense is almost a sure thing for Titans’ back.
On the other hand, we have the Chargers who are depending on Rivers to bring the game home every single week. Weapons around him are in and out, healthy and injured, but this man still dominates opposing defenses. Titans will have to control the possession of the ball in order to stop Phil from bombing away on them.
Chargers are the favorites in this game, but we are going to surprise a lot of people by picking the Tennessee Titans. Marcus Mariota is having a good season and decisions that he makes are on point, he is a good and smart runner, and delivers when the team needs him to do. This Chargers defense will have a long day against this Titans offense that will control the clock and win the game 28:27.
