The new Mazda CX-5 created commotion among the drivers when they released a dark teaser photo of the new car before its worldwide debut. The launching is set to take place during the next month, but Mazda had already wowed many of its fans and other car enthusiasts.
Mazda CX-5 isn’t actually a new vehicle in the lineup for this Japanese carmaker. In fact, it is one of the company’s oldest model. The CX-5 had come to the market way back in the year 2012. This new version which is expected to arrive in the following month represents an enhancement and improvement.

The new Mazda CX-5 has now been made shorter, but it is also lower in height than the previous model. The car’s roof had been prominently shaped, and its hood is stretched out giving it that sporty appearance. The headlamps are refreshed and together with updated grille are much more modern looking.

Although no technical details were revealed, Mazda confirms that their new compact sport utility vehicle had been polished and well finished. Every aspect of the car has been optimized to give its driver a much better experience. Passengers will now be able to enjoy in a far higher ride quality.
It has been reported that the Japanese company will keep the already tested and proven 2.0-liter SkyActiv-G petrol engine for the new CX-5. More powerful option in gasoline segment is the 2.5- liter unit that produces 184 hp which is a decent increase over 155 hp of a smaller unit. However, the 2.2-liter diesel unit is also on the cards and should be offered in two different versions, but that one is expected to come only to Europe.
Total of three trims are in play here, and you can choose between Sport, Touring and Grand Touring models. Furthermore, as a standard, we have front wheel drive while AWD is available as an option on all trims.
