Tampa Bay has won two games in a row to put themselves back into the playoff conversation. Falcons have slipped just a bit, and that opened the door for Jameis Winston and company. They are coming off wins against the Panthers and Niners. Can they stop Derek Carr and Raiders high-powered offense?
Oakland has lost a match against the Chiefs in Week 6 but got back to success in a blowout victory in Jacksonville. Derek Carr is having a great season, and he is spreading the ball to his wideouts. Sometimes it’s Cooper that does most of the damage, then in other games, it’s Crabtree that is costly for opponents.
Oakland’s defense will have to improve in order for this squad to be a real factor in the AFC. Holding Jags to 16 points is a good start. Still, they are not all that good team at this moments.
Tampa Bay is somewhat better, but they need to be more consistent. They are 3-3 right now just a half game behind Atlanta. This is a huge game for them and a duel in which Winston needs to step up and put on a show against far from elite Raiders D.
He has been forcing the ball to Mike Evans, so it’s going to be interesting to see if the Raiders can come up with a gameplan for that on defense.
This is going to be one of the most entertaining matches of Week 8, a high-scoring contest in which Oakland will prevail. Quarterbacks will put on a show, but Carr has better weapons than Winston. It’s going to be tight and Raiders will escape with 33:30 win.
