We have some bad news for those who have been waiting for Maserati Alfieri. The launch of this car has been postponed and it is expected that it will hit the market at the beginning of next decade.
The new-generation GranTurismo and GranCabrio will go on sale either in two or three years, which is before the Alfieri, that will come out by 2024, as Autocar stated.

Giulio Pastore, the general manager of Maserati Europe said: “The Granturismo and Grancabrio will not be dropped. We won’t forget that Maserati is very well known in its history for beautiful 2+2 GT cars and we will replace them, then the Alfieri.”
This sudden change of plans comes with no proper explanation. So, to the question why Maserati decided to launch GranTurismo and GranCabrio before the new Alfieri, we have no answer. However, it appears that the company doesn’t want to rush into the production of a new sports car and they want to do everything perfectly.
According to some of Pastore’s comments, the final design will probably be completed in 2018. Pastore also added that the Alfieri is a matter of uttermost importance. Its design, especially the front grille serve as an inspiration for the Levante and Ghibli.
