This is not what the Jets hoped for. After a year in which they played good football on both sides of the field and almost made the playoffs, they are struggling on both offense and defense and sitting at the bottom of NFC East. And their competitors are getting tougher by the week. They will be facing Cardinals team that is coming off a mini-bye and huge win in San Francisco.
David Johnson has proved that he is one of the best running backs in the NFL after a dominating performance against the Niners. What makes him so dangerous is that he can catch a lot of passes out of the backfield, so you don’t know where to look and what to defend in his case.
Palmer and his wideouts have struggled to start the season, but this just might be the game in which John Brown exploded. Larry Fitzgerald should also have a lot of success against this Jets team as they have one of the worst secondary in the NFL. And we don’t even know if Darrelle Revis will play.
And that says it all about the Jets. Their defense was their strong suit in the better part of the past decade, but now they can’t get it together. And it really doesn’t help that Ryan Fitzpatrick is throwing picks all over the place. Eric Decker is probably done for the season, and that also doesn’t help the Jets.
This is an easy pick for us. Playing at home on Monday Night Football against this horrible Jets team, this should be an easy win for Cardinals. We are picking Arizona to cruise through this game 34:17 easily.
