Next-generation Toyota Fortuner will be introduced in India on November 7, according to Toyota Kirloskar Motors. This SUV is extremely popular and it will arrive in showrooms for sale after the aforementioned date.
The future Fortuner will be almost completely overhauled and heavy changes are expected both in the interior and on the exterior of the vehicle.
The platform for the new car comes from Toyota Innova Crysta MPV. Furthermore, a 2.7-liter petrol engine will be fitted in the new model and the diesel option will also be available. The MPV has also been equipped with this engine recently.
The diesel option will be a 2.8-liter powerplant with a 4×4 option, called “Sigma 4” whereas the transmission will be either 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox. For the record, the Innova Crysta also has that engine. Active Traction Control (A-TRC) will also be provided.
On the other hand, the petrol engine will come with a 4×2 option and unlike the diesel variant, it will have a 5-speed manual transmission.
The car will include modern and advanced LED headlamps with bi-xenons, integrated LED DRLs and LED lights on the rear. 17-inch wheels will be installed to the petrol version comparing to 1-inch larger alloy wheels that will be on the diesel.
Many people in India will be much excited once this car goes on sale.
