One more holiday musical and entertainment experience is in the prep in honor of the brave men and women of America’s Armed Services and this time it is being prepared by entertainment icon Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson together with SPIKE TV, Casey Patterson Entertainment, and Don Mischer Productions. All of this is going down from the historical Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, and it will bring the cream de la cream from the worlds of music, comedy, and film which will make their appearance on Spike TV.
Johnson said “My respect for our troops is boundless. This December we will honor the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor and given that I have military in my family, vets and Navy SEALs, the goal was to create an event that honors our troops and their families in epic fashion. Seven Bucks Productions and I are privileged to have this opportunity to salute America’s finest and thank them from the bottom of our hearts for all their dedication, bravery, sacrifice and loyalty to our country”. Casey Patterson, Executive Producer, also made a statement in which he explained that “Rock the Troops” is a passion project for CPE and their partners at Seven Bucks and Don Mischer Productions. He also added that “We’re thrilled to be bringing entertainment and inspiration to our servicemen and servicewomen and to have so much support from our talented friends.”
Dany Garcia, co-founder of Seven Bucks Productions in his statement showed what a great honor this is for him and everybody at the company saying “We are honored to dedicate a night of entertainment to these amazing men and women.” Don Mischer who is also Executive Producer of the show added “Entertaining our men and women in uniform, who are stationed around the world, is a long cherished tradition in our country” and “As we approach the Holiday season, we are especially proud to help carry that tradition into the future.”
The list of those who are set to make this show epic is still growing and some of the ones who are already known are Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Keegan-Michael Key, Rob Riggle, Scott Eastwood, Terry Crews and SURFING superstar Laird Hamilton. George Clooney will also be featured but in a taped segment. The music side of the show will be surrendered to Nick Jonas, Flo Rida, Tenacious D, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Aaron Lewis, while the funny side of it will be taken care by stand-up performances from Jeff Ross and J.B. Smoove which are a sure tell that the show is going to be hilarious.
On this event, Spike is also going to showcase its pro-social campaign, Veterans Operation Wellness, which has one task and that is to inspire veterans to take the same amount of love and care to their health and wellbeing as they did to their country. Spike also has a long history in honoring country’s heroes through programs like “Hire A Vet” and “Fight For The Troops.”
