This divisional rivalry of these two franchises will continue on Thursday Night Football as they will meet in San Diego. Both of these teams have suffered a heart-breaking loss in Week 5 and are looking to bounce back. Denver’s undefeated run was stopped by the Falcons while Chargers, on the other hand, have given up yet another game, but this time to the Oakland Raiders.
Trevor Siemian was out this week, and we don’t know whether or not he will play against San Diego on Thursday. Paxton Lynch has proven not ready for the starting job just yet, and it was obvious that Denver needs Siemian.
Chargers were in a great position to escape from Oakland with a win, but they have lost yet again after having the lead. It’s pretty amazing to see Phillip Rivers playing the way he is even with the lack of talent around him. He still does make some mistakes, but they are bound to happen when you are taking as much risk as Rivers did.
Chargers defense is really bad this season, and if Siemian plays, Denver should have no problem shutting down San Diego and putting up some points on the board. But, if he is unable to play, it’s going to be a much more interesting duel. Still, we are picking the Broncos to win this game. We are going to predict that Siemian will be ready and that Denver will take it with 27:17 as the final result.
