Who thought that Matt Ryan would be a leading candidate for NFL’s MVP Award after first four weeks. Falcons’ quarterback has been amazing to start the season, and Atlanta is looking like a playoff team. Their offense has carried them to this terrific result. Matt Ryan and Julio Jones are spectacular, and they are putting some points on the board.
But not just points in the game. They are putting up huge Fantasy numbers as well. Matty Ice is the leading scorer in Fantasy Football this season. In four games that he’s played, he threw for 1473 yards to go along with his 11 TDs and only two interceptions.
Next game for the Falcons will be on the road, against the Broncos and their scary defense. This D is the best in the NFL there is no doubt about that. And what makes them so good is that secondary that shuts down just about everybody. Should you start Ryan against the Broncos even now when he is on fire?
If you have a quarterback on a bye week, you should start Ryan. You don’t need to pick up another QB. But, if you have a decent signal caller on your teams such as Joe Flacco or Derek Carr, you should bench Ryan as he will be in a lot of trouble in the next game.
This defense is yet to give up more than three touchdown worth of points. And they just don’t give up TDs via air. Matt Ryan and his weapons are too good not to hook up for at least one TD, but Falcons will be playing from behind on the road, and some INTs will be thrown. 264 yards with one TD and at least one INT sounds about right for Matty Ice. That is the total of 14.56 Fantasy Points. Ryan should be on your bench this week.
