Cristiano Ronaldo decided to take the role of a ball boy during his son’s soccer match.
The Real Madrid star went behind the goal to fetch the ball after a wide shot from some kid. When reached the ball, he did show fancy footwork, but he quickly returned the ball to the pitch so that the match could be continued. He showed that although being a superstar, he is just a regular dad.
Ronaldo often shares pictures of him and his son on social media. We can see that he has a close relationship with his son, but he does not push Cristiano Jnr. to be a soccer player.
“I have 30 balls at home, he is always with the ball and he loves it. But I will not force him to be a player because it comes naturally, it has to be his choice. He will be whatever he wants to be, I am not going to push him at all,” said Ronaldo.
Real Madrid was held to a 1-1 draw by Eibar and Ronaldo had the assist to Gareth Bale who scored the only goal for the Galacticos. Both teams scored a goal early in the game. Fran Rico hit the target in the 6th minute of the match which was a shock for fans. However, Bale equalized the score 11 minutes later.
Atletico Madrid is now at the top of the table, closely followed by Real. In the meantime, Ronaldo will join Portugal for the World Cup qualifiers. They will play against Andorra at home on October 7 and their next game will be versus the Faroe Islands.
Santos was, of course, thrilled that Ronaldo will be able to play after a knee injury he suffered from in a victory over France in July. Santos said:” This group is stronger of course with Cristiano Ronaldo in it.”
