According to many people, Kia Carens resembles a lot like BMW 2-Series Active Tourer. Anyway, they came up with the facelifted version that still looks surprisingly like BMW.
It is expected that the new Kia finds its way to the dealers all over Europe before the beginning of 2017. The facelifted MPV will have an upgraded “tiger-nose” grille as well as overhauled fog lamps. Moreover, the front and rear bumpers will be redesigned and new patterns for the 16-, 17-, and 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels is going to be available. The car will also come in a new Mysterious Blue color.
Although there haven’t been any pictures of the cabin yet, the automaker has stated that there will be an option between black or beige upholstery when it comes to the layout of this seven-seat car. Furthermore, there will be a modern, carbon-effect dashboard in addition to the glossy black details that will be added to some parts in the cabin for a more fashionable look.
Next to the aforementioned upholstery the car will be equipped with the 7- or 8-inch touch sensitive display HMI (human-machine interface) with TomTopm navigation and a rearview camera. Among other features, we get Android Auto compatibility and Apple CarPlay. In addition, a JBL Premium Sound system with six speakers, amplifier, and a subwoofer can be found only on selected models.
The 1.7-liter diesel engine that produces 114 hp will be integrated into the most economical version of a car which will feature stop/go technology and revised gear ratios and low rolling resistance tires. When it is combined with the six-speed manual the car emits 109 g/km of CO2.
The price of the 2017 Kia Carens should be available soon.
