According to the company’s announcement on Tuesday, Nintendo’s Pokémon craze is not going to end soon. As the Wall Street Journal stated, more Pokémon games will be introduced when the Nintendo NX hits the market. The Pokémon game was invented and presented to the gamers 20 years ago for the first time.
As Tsunekazu Ishihara, a chief executive of the Pokémon Company, declared for the Journal on Tuesday, Pokémon Go is just the beginning of a big project and it will only continue to develop.
He told the Journal:”We will make games for the NX. The NX is trying to change the concept of what it means to be a home console device or a hand-held device.”
Nintendo’s focus shifts to bringing back chip-based cartridges which they switched with the modern disc and web-streaming. Discs and web-steaming are used in consoles such as Xbox One and SP 4 for gameplay and purchases. However, Toshiba and Samsung are focused on lowering the price and thus their cartridges are cheaper for Nintendo NX, according to the Journal.
With the making and launching of Pokémon GO, Pokémon Company has been revived. More than 280 million people had purchased a Pokémon game before GO was released. It could be said that it had been a turning point for the company because the app has been downloaded for more than 500 million times which has been a record.
Ishihara added:”I feel like the reaction we saw was 10 times or even 100 times bigger than we expected.”
With the new Pokémon Go Plus which has been available from September 16, fans can use Bluetooth to play Pokémon Go, even if the app is not displayed on the screen.
As Ishihara announced, the one-on-one battles will be possible, considering that the project is in the pipeline.
