After an 8-yard performance against the Giants, Dez Bryant showed that he is still a force to be reckoned with. Cowboys told us that nobody was panicking after his Week 1 outing and that he will be more involved in the next games. He proved that his Week 1 performance was just an aberration while Dallas showed just how good they can be.
Dak Prescott told us that he won’t try to force the ball to Dez just because he needs to get more involved. But it was clear that Garrett wanted to push Bryant more in this game as he was targeted 12 times on the afternoon.
He finished the game with 102 receiving yards on seven catches. He had some troubles against Josh Norman, but overall, he was able to torch the Redskins for some huge gains. Finished the game with an average of 14,6 yards per reception.
This was a great sign for the Cowboys. Dak Prescott actually outplayed Skins’ QB Kirk Cousins, and he was able to hook up with his best receiver. Huge confidence boost for both Dez Bryant and this Dallas’ rookie signal caller.
Next week they will face the Chicago Bears and Dez will get another chance to show why he is considered to be one of the best wideouts in the game. Bears defense should be decent this season, but they are not a match for Bryant and Cowboys’ offense. He, just like his team, should have a good day next Sunday with a good number of receiving yards.
