Finishing the 2018-2019 La Liga season had not been a positive result for the Real Betis management, even though the team managed to get past through the UEFA Europa League group stages. Joan Francesc Ferrer Sicilia replaced the sacked Quique Setien as the new coach and several new signings like Iglesias Borja and Emerson were intended to mark the beginning of a new period for the club.

As many soccer analysts many times said, it was the financial instability behind the fluctuating performance of the team, but that issue might have been solved several days ago. Real Betis had announced the beginning of a new sponsorship contract with easyMarkets, a popular online trading company, which is actually the founder of the idea of democratizing trading.

According to the latest information, for the next three years, the easyMarkets logo will appear on the shirt front and the club will receive €2 million annually. The new shirts had already been used by the players during the first round against Valladolid.

The sponsorship is expected to provide more financial predictability and stability for the club, as easyMarkets is one of the most simple, honest, and transparent companies in Europe, currently serving more than 142,000 clients from Europe, Australia, and LATAM countries. It managed to gain its reputation by offering high-quality trading services, innovative trading platforms, and wide coverage of many different markets.

Although the new season started with a 2-1 home defeat and despite the second match at Camp Nou against the defending champions, Real Betis will have several easy rounds, against Leganes, Getafe, Osasuna, and Levante. Even the match on Sunday against Barcelona is widely expected by the fans, given that Betis managed to grab a 3-4 win against the best Spanish team in the previous season.

With a new coach and several new players in the first team, it may be that Betis struggles to find its rhythm at the present time. There will be more time to prepare the league matches, given that the club failed to end the past season on a place eligible for any European competition.

After winning the 2014-2015 season of the Segunda Division, the club managed to hold its ground in the first league, even though since 2005 it had to face several relegations. Protests against the owner Ruiz de Lopera were being held, and eventually, the majority of his shares were sold to Bitton Sport, fronted by Luis Oliver.

Judging by the current situation, it seems like the club managed to overcome the bad period and despite the poor performance seen in the last season, stakes are much higher this year. With easyMarkets as one of the main supporters, the Betis fans expect the team to end up in a much better position and qualify for one of the next European competition. Will Rubi Joan be able to get his team at a higher level, it’s a question we’ll get an answer after a few more matches.
