Paddy Lawler had his dying wish come true by the players of Man Utd.
A whole-life supporter of Manchester United from Wythenshawe, Manchester, explained his loved ones that he would like to meet some of his favorite players before he passed away. Kayleigh, the granddaughter of the 73-year-old Paddy Lawler, used Facebook in order to inform everyone who would like to help. Yet, it was the dream of her granddad. She posted a Facebook status that got shared a bunch of times, ending up spotted by the cousin of Jesse Lingard, who is actually the player of MUFC.
After they have heard of each other, Kayleigh wrote that the players have promised to come and visit Paddy, which they did, including Paddy’s favorite player – Marcus Rashford. He came to Paddy’s house with his United teammates Ashley Young, Timothy Fosu-Mensah and, of course, Jesse Lingard (whose cousin saw the post in the first place). They all took some pictures together, and the players signed autographs for Paddy. Needless to say, he was wearing his club’s shirt.
Unfortunately, Paddy passed away when they left. Around 45 minutes after they had to go, Paddy lost his fight against prostate cancer.
“Top lads, all four of them. Thanks so much to everyone who helped. Sure my grandad’s over the moon”, Kayleigh posted on Facebook after all.
