Apple stated last week that the pre-orders will no longer be available since all the volumes of iPhone 7 Plus has already been sold out. As the company stated the number of pre-orders is “no longer a representative metric” and they were aware that the supplies would be sold out. All the jet black iPhone 7s, as well as the iPhone 7 Plus supply, has been completely gone according to the statement released by Apple.
The company told TechCrunch: “Beginning Friday, limited quantities of iPhone 7 in silver, gold, rose gold, and black will be available for walk-in customers at Apple retail stores. During the online pre-order period, initial quantities of iPhone 7 Plus in all finishes and iPhone 7 in jet black sold out and will not be available for walk-in customers.” In other words, it is not recommended to go to an Apple Store if you want to buy an iPhone on September 16th, which is the launch date.
An order via the internet is always a good option. However, until the inventory clears you will have to patient. Two to three weeks is an estimated time a person in the US and the UK has to wait for both models, so if you decide to take this step keep this information in mind. In case you want a new popular jet black version which has been through a “precision, nine-step anodization and polishing process” you may end up waiting more than a month or until November when iPhone 7 Plus in a new shiny black color is released.
Apple also added:”We sincerely appreciate our customers’ patience as we work hard to get the new iPhone into the hands of everyone who wants one as quickly as possible.”
