After Ndamukong Suh stepped on the ankle of Rusell Wilson, it looked like a very dangerous situation for the Seahawks, but their QB had no problem finishing the game as he led his team to the victory with a clutch late-game drive to put ’Hawks up by 2.
But it appears that ankle is still pretty much bothering him even he thought he could just shake it off and that everything will be fine. His movement in the pocket was affected by that ankle injury, and that can be a major problem for a guy who is considered to be a dual threat QB, and that is one of his most powerful weapons and best qualities.
Even though he said that he would be fine after the match ended, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reports that the sprained ankle is still affecting him to that level that his status for Week 2 is in question.
It will be a huge blow for the ’Hawks if it turns out that Wilson can’t play against the Rams because the only other QB on the team is rookie Trevone Boykin. It is expected that Seattle will add another QB to the roster just in case Wilson is not available to coach Pete Carroll for the Week 2 division showdown against Los Angeles.
