Fan theories point to a late 2016 or early 2017 release date of the anime “Noragami Aragoto” season 3, according to a community discussion at Reddit.com.
The adventure-fantasy-thriller story about human and gods co-existing in a certain metropolis is returning to the big screens in the form of a third season. Noragami Aragoto Season 3 is going to be premiered in the winter of 2017. We are keeping our fingers crossed, as for this season and same for the future ones, that the authors won’t stop writing Manga, thus enabling us to watch this super-cool-awesome Anime.
Noragami Aragoto : About the Anime
Noragami Aragoto is the anime based on the same-named manga written by Adachitoka. It follows the adventures of the God without the Temple name Yato. Manga first started publications in 2011, with Kodansha’s Monthly Shōnen Magazine being the publisher. So far 15 volumes have been published and collected into tankōbon.
The first episode of the anime was aired in Japan on January 5, 2014. The entire first season consisted of 12 episodes. The second season started airing on October 2, 2015, and unlike the first one, it contained 13 episodes.

Toshihiro Kawamoto was in charge for the design of the characters. Some of the most recognizable series created by Bones are as follow: “Star Driver,” “Wolf’s Rain,” “RahXephon,” “Scrapped Princess,” “Darker than Black”, and “Soul Eater.”
The game that was inspired by the anime was created by Sakura Soft in the fall of 2015. This was done in an attempt to create the full-fledged franchise based on the manga and anime Noragami Aragoto.
Story-line of Noragami Aragoto
The storyline revolves around a young girl named Hiyori Iki who lives in two worlds; the normal world, and the ‘Thin’ world that is being controlled by the God’s of Shinto. Hiyori possesses supernatural powers that allow her to see dead spirits and disconnect her soul from the body.
Because the later one she is gradually losing her lifespan. Her only hope of taking control over her body and soul is a God without a Temple named Yato. He is partially guilty of the girl’s sufferings and thus is doing everything in his power to help her. At the same time, the God Yato is being hunted by the goddess Bishamon which is more powerful than him. While dealing with her, he also needs Hiyoris help.
They seem to get along well when working together, and on their first endeavor together Yato succeeds in acquiring the sacred weapon named Yukine. They continue to be a good team, and trough the series they overcome many obstacles together. Yuto managed to overcome his disagreeing with Bishamon, but only more troubles await him. Elder Gods are mad about his relationship with Hiyori, and ask him to deal with her, the reason being her meddling with the two worlds. What will Yuto do, remains to be seen in the third season?
Noragami Aragoto Season 3 Release date
While Manga continues its publications regularly on week basis, not much is known about the anime. According to rumors by the end of 2016, there will be enough material for the creation of the third season, thus making the Winter Anime season the date for its release. The only thing left is to wait and see.
