The Dallas Cowboys suffered a bad loss on Monday Night Football on their own stadium. The team that beat them is just another middle of the pack kind of a squad, like Dallas seems to be as well. Titans have had an up-and-down season so far, with last night’s game for sure being one of their better ones this year.
America’s Team started strong in the first half, forcing some turnover and scoring a touchdown on a Dak Prescott’s pass to Amari Cooper, who caught his first TD pass as a Cowboy. But, after that, it all went downhill as the Titans offense had a nice day running the ball. Wideout screens were also something that the Cowboys really couldn’t stop.
The defense made some nice plays, but also gave up a lot of big ones. In the end, the team shouldn’t look as bad as the Cowboys did, on their home turf, on Monday Night Football, right after the bye week. Prescott had no pocket presence, just really couldn’t find anybody.
There are going to be a lot of people saying that the wideouts didn’t get open, but Dak needs to be held accountable as well.
One of the people that all the Cowboys fans are going to talk about is Jason Garrett, a guy who didn’t have Dallas squad playing well after 15 days of rest. This is kind of a loss that can be the straw that broke the camel’s back when someone’s seat is hot.
Jerry Jones was asked about his coaches’ job security, but he said that Jason is not going to be fired. After that answer, the reporter asked whether or not he means Garrett won’t be fired tonight. But, clearly, Jerry has no plans of letting go of his coach… not yet.
