Looking at the odds for Cowboys vs. Lions duel, it seems that home squad fans have reasons to be happy as Dallas team is set to -3.5. On the other hand, America’s Team just lost to Seattle Seahawks 24-13, while Detroit managed to beat New England Patriots 26:10.
At the moment, we have two rivals that are 1-2 in the first three games, but what is quite interesting here is the fact that they are facing completely different problems. One more thing to add here is the over/under that is set to 44, and again, not many points are expected here.
Let’s take a look at the issues that Cowboys have. Well, first three duels showed that they are having a hard time moving the chains and scoring. Just like we expected, Zeke is the leader in terms of rushing yards with a total of 274 and two TDs. Cole Beasley caught 12 passes for 132 yards with Tavon Austin following him with two touchdowns.
Defense is strong again, and they allow only 17.7 points per game with them being 4th when it comes to passing yards with 182.7. Looking at the number of allowed yards they are also great with 281 yards per game that sets them at the 3rd position this season.
After two losses, Detroit Lions managed to win over New England Patriots, and that certainly is a big boost for the confidence of this squad. While the offense is the problem in Cowboys’ case, Lions are quite thin on the defense. Matt Stafford completed 65.2% of his passes for 895 yards, 6 TDs, and 5 interceptions. Best receiver is Golden Tate with 20 for 257 yards and is closely trailed by Kenny Golladay that has 19 catches for 256 yards. Kerryon Johnson is lead rusher with 161 yards.
With an average of 393.3 yards per game, Lions are far ahead of Cowboys, and they allow 301.3 yards per game to opposing offenses which sets them to 7th position. They are quite strong against the pass as they allow only 152 yards per match.
If we take a look at the previous games of these two teams, we are not sure how the Cowboys are the favorite here. Hopefully, those guys that are setting these figures know something bit more than we and we will see Dallas squad victorious in this game.
