We still have to wait a while before the new season starts but it will be fun to check out the duel between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys.
Last year, Big D had a disappointing season, finishing with a 9-7 record and taking the second place in the NFC East behind the ruthless Philadelphia Eagles. America’s Team couldn’t get into a consistent rhythm first with their running back Ezekiel Elliott’s suspension and with the injuries that followed them throughout the season.
However, Dallas did have a chance in theory for a wild card, but everything suggested that we would not watch them in the postseason. The road ended for the Cowboys too early, and they had to make some modifications. The offseason came, and one of the first things was letting wide receiver Dez Bryant, who has been a heart and the soul of the team, go. However, they brought a replacement in Deonte Thompson from the Bills.
Dallas franchise strengthened their lines through draft taking players on multiple positions with linebacker Leighton Vander Esch from Boise State leading the way. This year, the expectations for America’s Team will not change much, and the fans will want to see their squad in the postseason. The Boys are facing the Bucs in Week 16, and by that time, everything will be crystal clear, and we will know what kind of team Dallas will have.
The history of the Cowboys and Buccaneers
These two teams have met 18 times so far, but only twice in the postseasons. These two games were both won by Dallas. The Cowboys had a lot more success with 14-4 overall score, and the last time we have seen these two teams going at it was on Sunday Night Football in 2016. Dallas franchise managed to get the edge and win 26-20.
AT&T Stadium
The game will take place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The stadium has the second largest video display in the world, and even though it is the home to the Cowboys, they do not have an amazing score at home.
