Ronda Rousey was one a part of one of the biggest moments during the Royal Rumble weekend. Everybody expected her to be in the match and maybe even win the first-ever women’s Royal Rumble match. WWE decided that they are going to give the win to Asuka, which meant that there was no place for Ronda in the match.
When you have somebody like Rousey making her debut, there is no way that you are going to put her in the Rumble if she is not going to win it. In the end, WWE made the right call with her.
She is filming a movie right now so we don’t know when we are going to see her again on WWE TV, but there is no doubt that we will get to watch Rousey in the WWE ring as she did sing a deal with the company.
All eyes were on WWE when she made her debut and there are going to be all eyes on the company when she wrestles for the first time, which is likely going to happen at Wrestlemania. That is going to be a huge draw for the WWE, just like she was a huge draw for the UFC.
Connor McGregor knows a thing or two about being a huge draw and here is what he had to say about former Bantamweight champion.
“I’m delighted for her. Absolutely over the moon for her. She looked like she really enjoyed herself at the event and I was very, very happy to see her. She’s a pioneer for the game and she came through it all and faced big wins and big, big losses and she came through it. It’s great to see her represent herself and mixed martial arts and have fun in the WWE. I know she’s been a big fan all her life. It’s great to see that.”
