The history will be made this Sunday on January 28th in Philadelphia. The first-ever women’s Royal Rumble is going to be one of the main things to watch, and we expect a good battle and a few surprises that are going to happen. There is no doubt that winner will be looking extremely good after this show as that woman is going to go down in history as the first-ever winner.
Many have talked about who might be in this match. We know that there is going to be 30 women entering, but WWE, on both their Smackdown Live and Monday Night Raw, doesn’t have more than 20 Superstars. Based on that, you know that there are going to be some surprising entrants, either some girls from NXT, some new women that the company just signed, and of course, some legends that are going to return.
There has been a lot of talk about Stephanie McMahon possibly entering the battle as we know that McMahons always want to be in the spotlight. The speculations about her joining this clash are going to end now as we could hear that she is going to be a commentator during the match and that she won’t be in the contention.
But, this opens up a lot of possibilities. There has been a lot of talk about Ronda Rousey making her debut in the Rumble. Right now, she is even the clear-cut favorite to win the whole thing. She had some interaction with Stephanie McMahon back in 2015 when she showed up at Wrestlemania. With Stephanie being in the ringside, there is no doubt that we can expect some friction between the two.
As far as wrestling goes, Stephanie won’t be making her in-ring return at the Royal Rumble. If Rousey does show up, we might see them dueling at Mania.
