For the first time this season, the Lady Luck was on Cowboys side. Clinging to the last thread of hope of reaching playoffs in Oakland they finally got lucky. On one of their worst nights in recent weeks, they managed to scrape a win despite Prescott’s two interceptions and an injury to their All-Pro left tackle Tyron Smith. After a 55-yard penalty that looked like its sealing the victory for Raiders, Dallas squad was helpless. But, thanks to Oakland QB Derek Carr and his last-minute mistake the game ended 20-17 in Cowboys favor. With three wins in as many games, America’s Team is still a playoff contender, but it won’t be easy.
After their latest win, they currently have an 8-6 score in NFC East. Next match on schedule for Dallas is the duel vs. Seattle Seahawks. Good news for Cowboys is that they will have their superstar running back Ezekiel Elliott at their disposal for the first time in six weeks. In his absence, they went 3-3. So, the chances for this team to reach postseason are real, and here is what needs to happen in the next two weeks.
3Win Out
This didn’t change after last week’s win against Raiders. Cowboys still need to win remaining three games. To have any chances for wild-card spot they need to go 10-6. They will do this by beating Seahawks and Eagles. If they lose either one of these matches, they will have less than 1% chances of reaching playoffs. If they win against beaten-up Seahawks, and Eagles who are playing without their starting QB Carson Wentz (Eagles will probably rest some of the starters) they will have 60% chances of playing in January.
