The Royal Rumble match is one of the biggest clashes of the year. It is one of the best concepts that WWE has ever come up with, and it has a really important spot in the history of the company. Some of the most iconic matches ever were set at the Royal Rumble. Some of the biggest moments in all of the wrestling took place at this event. Just look at how perfect the 1992 edition of Royal Rumble was.
Thirty men enter, but only one stands tall after an hour of battling. Now, WWE has been thinking about having the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble. Over the course of last two years, the women have done a lot of things that they have never done in the history of wrestling. A lot of “first ever things” happened in their division and they are not going to stop.
There have been rumors that WWE wants to do this match in 2018 in late January and it seems that those reports are going to be correct. According to the UK Sun, it is expected that the company is going to announce this match sooner rather than later.
The one problem with this concept for women is that they never had enough of superstars to compete in this match. They don’t need thirty participants, but at least 20 would be nice.
Last week, we had three new girls making their main roster debut on both Smackdown Live and Monday Night Raw. When you add Paige who made her comeback, it means that there are seven new women on the main roster, which is going to be huge if and when the company announces that this match is going to take place. Add a few more superstars from the NXT, and you have a legit Rumble for the ladies.
