Another Cowboy bites the dust – lineman La’el Collins is another player on the team’s injury list

It seems that Cowboys just can’t catch a break with their issues. The list of injured players just keeps getting bigger and bigger, and this time, right tackle La’el Collins will be joining his teammates. This, unfortunately, happened on Tuesday and Collins will be limited in practice due to his back injury, and apparently, his place will be taken by veteran Byron Bell.

Thanks to the fact that Bell has been preparing for the left tackle position since Tyron Smith is sidelined because groin/back injuries, it wouldn’t be tough for him to transfer to the right side, which is the thing that Bell confirmed as well. If you recall that (horrible) game last Sunday against Eagles, Bell started in Smith’s place, but thanks to the fact that Smith is pulling toward returning this week, Bell will surely now replace La’el Collins on the left side.

Since we are on the topic of injuries, we must inform you that safety Jeff Heath (concussion) was a full participant for a second consecutive day. Thankfully, according to Jeff, he’ll be ready to play the Thanksgiving game against the Los Angeles Chargers, which is great news for both him and the team. As we already mentioned Smith might return pretty soon, and he is showing that by practicing in limited fashion this week, but a true surprise will be the kicker Dan Bailey who could get back as well.

Two guys who will surely miss out the next game are Linebacker Anthony Hitchens (groin), who missed a second consecutive day of practice and Linebacker Sean Lee (hamstring), but we already knew that he wouldn’t play since owner Jerry Jones already ruled him out on his radio show on Tuesday. Two more surprises are defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence (shoulder), who had a full practice on Tuesday after a limited practice on Monday and defensive tackle Maliek Collins (foot), who is still in limited practice, but there are some indications that he actually might play the next game.
