According to NASA, the mysterious world named Planet Nine does exist, and it is located at the very edge of the solar system. The icy giant is estimated to be about ten times the size of Earth and 20 times farther away from the sun than Neptune, reports The Sun.
According to some conspiracy theorists, a large planet called Nibiru was supposed to hit the Earth and destroy the humankind. NASA has denied such a possibility, and they said that Planet Nine is not going to “collide with Earth or bringing days of darkness,” while they claimed that Nibiru was just a hoax.
Konstantin Batygin, the planetary astrophysicist at Caltech in Pasadena said: “There are now five different lines of observational evidence pointing to the existence of Planet Nine.” One of the evidence is the gravitational tug of the Planet Nine which disturbs the Kuiper Belt that consists of objects, ice and rocks stretched from Neptune and far into deep space.
The Planet Nine is referred to as the “super-Earth” which is basically a large world. These huge planets are common in the universe. As for the mysterious Planet Nibiru or Planet X as it is also called, NASA said: “The planet in question, Niburu, doesn’t exist, so there will be no collision. The story of Nibiru has been around for years (as has the ‘days of darkness’ tale) and is periodically recycled into new apocalyptic fables.”
There is an assumption that Planet Nine could destroy the solar system by passing through it and hitting planets, launching them outside in the outer space, or plunging into the Sun. Dr. Dimitri Veras of the Department of Physics says: “The existence of a distant massive planet could fundamentally change the fate of the solar system. The fate of the solar system would depend on the mass and orbital properties of Planet Nine, if it exists.”
This will not happen soon, at least not for the next seven billion years, which is the time when the Sun will start to die out.
