Like you already know, US National Anthem protest has spread across the NFL like wildfire. More than 200 players have opposed the National Anthem in different ways. Most general methods are kneeling, sitting out, and raising a fist into the air.
Only six teams are left in the league that didn’t protest against country’s most important song. Those are Cowboys, Cardinals, Bears, Vikings, Bengals, and Jets. A few days back Packers and Bears have locked their arms during the intonation.
On the other side, the Cowboys have found a way to express their solidarity with protest but without boycotting the anthem. They had kneeled before the anthem but stood during the singing. Prior to their game vs. Rams WR Dez Bryant said that they will treat the hymn like they always do: “We’re going to stand. We’re going to stand and put our hand over our heart, and we’re going to do what we did before. Y’all know what that was, that was just a response to Trump. That’s all that was.”
The protest became an even more talked subject in the US after President Donald Trump added fuel to the fire with a statement: “That’s a total disrespect of everything that we stand for. Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, you’d say, ‘Get that son of a bi**h off the field right now. Out! He’s fired.”
It wasn’t expected for Dallas Cowboys players to show any sign of protest, but they did, and they have done so without disrespecting the anthem. The deed itself was even more important because Cowboys owner kneeled together with his players in Arizona. Jones said: “I just feel so strongly that the act of recognizing the flag is a salute to our country and all of the people that have sacrificed so that we can have the liberties we have. I feel very strongly that everyone should save that moment for the recognition of the flag in a positive way, so I like the way the Cowboys do it.”
Cowboys all stood for the national anthem. Rams OLB Robert Quinn raised his fist throughout anthem. Cowboys DL Damontre Moore raised his fist as anthem ended. Not sure if that is part of his normal pre-game routine or not.

Today, before the Los Angeles Rams vs. Dallas Cowboys game no player on any side kneeled. The only player to raise a fist during the anthem was Rams OLB, Robert Quinn. Damontre Moore of Dallas Cowboys raised a hand after the anthem, but we suspect that this could be his pregame routine.
