This is the case with Donald Trump and his drawing of Empire State Building that is going to be auctioned at a Los Angeles.
According to Julien’s Auctions, this drawing was done on 12-inch-by-9-inch paper (A4) with black marker. Sketch by current POTUS was created in 1995 when he was only a wealthy US citizen and for the purpose of a charity auction when the Mar-a-Lago estate was a private club.
The company that is organizing the auction says that the piece was originally sold for less than $100, but the price went significantly higher from that time. It is expected for the sketch with Trump’s signature to be sold for $8,000 to $12,000 meaning it was a pretty good investment to buy it a few years ago and keep it for the time when this man gets even more popular.
Drawing that you can see here will be a part of Julien’s Street, Contemporary & Celebrity Art auction that will be held on October 19. in L.A. but also online. The auction house has confirmed that the part of the proceeds of any sale, including this one, will go to the National Public Radio.
Things like this shouldn’t surprise you, and it is not the first time that a sketch made by current President Donald Trump is sold for a huge amount of money. Recently, in July to be more precise, Trump made Manhattan skyline drawing, was offered at an auction and sold for almost $30,000.
