Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) it appears has had a very busy Wednesday, as it rigorously attempted to sustain outages on several of Apple’s features. Beginning with iTunes Store, the stylish device-maker saw the App store too was suffering, along with Mac App store. All with all of the main i-portals down, iTunes Connect too failed to support app submissions.
For some users, the initial pages of App Store and Mac App Store were accessible. For others US and UK App Stores were broken for some of the apps. Meanwhile, iTunes Stores purchase feature was gagged, though the content, such as music, film or TV content remained viewable. No purchases could be made.
Interestingly, there were features outages that were region-based. For example, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) access in India to the Indian App Store was inconsistent. While it allowed downloading of apps, access to music tracks was disallowed.
Elsewhere the digital mayhem in iApple world was more widespread. iBooks was down, while in-app purchases remained incomplete.
Additionally, the simulator tests for the developer apps, the TestFlight feature too was riddled with issues, leaving many disappointed. Consistently the feature remains inaccessible to iOS users.
However, there have been no official confirmations of the outages, initial customer support services in the UK did indicate of similar worldwide outage.
Interestingly, the outages differ from region to region, making it a challenge for engineers to zero-in on one the cause of the outage. Persistently App Store not allowing downloads in some countries while allowing downloads in others does offer room for thought, but music downloads is gagged in most countries!
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has yet to offer an official comment, as even the Apple Support is down. As iOS users go into a tizzy, with many features now remaining not accessible, Apple engineers furious pace to revert to full-service are yet to be available.
