The protests during the national anthem are not only about the Cowboys, but they have caught an eye of the public after President Donald Trump said that every player who protests against the anthem should be benched or fired. The Cowboys owner Jerry Jones supported Trump’s claims and said that the players would be disciplined if they disrespect the flag. However, a few weeks before that, the entire team knelt before the game with the Arizona Cardinals and Jones was there with his family, coaches, and players.
