At the WrestleMania 13, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Bret Hart went at it, and it was one of the best uses of blood in the modern history of WWE. According to Hart, he cut Austin without seeking permission from Vince McMahon before the match. After that, The Chairman decided to ban the blood from the clashes which took place in the 1990s, but that wasn’t enough to stop Hart. We have seen blood in his duels against Roddy Piper and Davey Smith after that.
Even though McMahon must have been disgusted with Austin’s face all covered in crimson, he learned about the significance of blood later on, as the match proceeded. When the cameras zoomed in, Stone Cold Steve Austin’s bloody expression was priceless, and it will be remembered as one of the most iconic images in WWE.
