2RED VELVET CRÊPES WITH CHOCOLATE WHIPPED CREAM
Ingredients:
• 1 cup all-purpose flour
• 1 1/2 tablespoons cocoa powder
• 2 large eggs at room temperature
• 3 tablespoons salted butter
• 1/8 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
• 1 cup milk
• 1/2 cup + 1/8 cup water
• 2-3 teaspoons liquid red food color
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Chocolate Whipped Cream
• 1 cup heavy cream
• 1 1/2 tablespoons granulated white sugar
• 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• Strawberries sliced
• Chocolate sauce to drizzle on top (optional)
Preparation:
The Crepe Batter
1. Use the ingredients listed under “red velvet crapes” and mix them in a blender
2. Pour batter into a bowl which you will place in the fridge for half an hour.
The Chocolate whipped cream filling
1. With the whisk or a hand mixer, beat heavy cream.
2. Once the cream becomes thicker, add granulated sugar, vanilla extract and cocoa powder.
3. Your goal is to get semi-firm peaks, so be careful not to over-beat.
4. Put it in the fridge.
Red Velvet Crepes
1. Heat a non-stick pan and spray it with non-stick spray.
2. Pour ¼ cup of batter into the pan and spread it around.
3. Cook for up to a minute and flip the crepe without breaking it apart.
4. Cook the other side
5. Repeat until the entire batter is done.
Serving
1. Spoon chocolate whipped cream on one side and place strawberries on top.
2. Fold the crepe into a quarter and place the filling on top of it.
3. Drizzle chocolate sauce to make it look even better!
