4More passes to the RB’s
Christian McCaffrey and Curtis Samuel were the two quick backs on whom Panthers spent their first two picks in order to upgrade their running game, and these two can surely help as runners and receivers. To back this up, stats say that McCaffrey was targeted 113 times last season while on the other hand Elliott was targeted just 40 times in his rookie season and 38 times last year. As far as Samuel is considered, he ran the ball 97 times and caught 74 passes during his final season at Ohio State. Cowboys tried to make a similar back draft – Donnel Pumphrey – in the fourth round, but unfortunately, the Eagles had one pick before them and managed to snag him right under their nose. Dallas will definitely try and target a pass-catching-type back in this year’s draft as well, and hopefully, they will manage to get one this time.
