4Orlando Scandrick
Orlando Scandrick has missed four games in 2017 since he got injured and this veteran will most likely miss another one by the end of the regular season which will end on Sunday. In his healthy days, this guy was known to deliver some game-changing plays, but on the other hand, he was also known for being outshined by his rookie rivals. That would qualify him for the potential sack.
For 11 games he’d played, he managed to get zero interceptions and only three pass breakups. He also had a total of 38 tackles, and that is his lowest output since 2012 and third lowest of his veteran career. On top of that, there were no sacks and no forced fumbles, so it is quite clear that he will be under the Cowboys’ scope this offseason.
And should the Dallas team really take a $10.9M cap hit over in the last two seasons of his contract to keep Orlando?
Look at Chidobe Awuzie, Xavier Woods and Jourdan Lewis and how they are progressing. That should answer our previous question. What if they simply take their chances with Marquez White who is still waiting for his shot from the 10-man practice squad unit. Or they could make another defensive grab in April. All these things point that Scandrick will most likely be a goner by the end of the season.
