Even as the second option in Vikings depth charts, McKinnon was productive last year. He recorded three touchdowns and had 570 yards to his name. While this isn’t too impressive, Jerick worked great in pair with Murray and was an essential part of their time-managing offense. He and Elliott could also form amazing RB duo.
The only reason McKinnon got this much playing time is because of Delvin Cook injury. Next year, Cook will return, and thus Jerick will hit the free market.
