2Carl Davis – Defensive Tackle
Dallas front office decided against drafting Vita Vea and adding Terrell McClain through free agency. While they do have few options at 3-tech defensive tackle, there aren’t much of options for 1-tech. Both Richard Ash and Brian Price might not be good enough to fully cover that segment, and guys like Maliek Collins, Datone Jones, and Jihad Ward will need to jump in and help.
Carl Davis looks like a good option as he was drafted in 2015 as a third-round pick meaning that his final year on a rookie contract is starting soon. With plenty of good players at that position, Ravens could give him up for a late-round draft pick. While this guy isn’t spectacular and probably won’t be able to produce game-changing moves each and every week, we think that it would be a good addition to Cowboys roster.
