Losing three matches in a row was bad enough, but failing to score was painful to watch. In those three games, Dallas’ opponents score the total of 92 points, whereas the Cowboys had only 22 points. This cannot be just because Elliott got suspended. Let’s be clear – Zeke is an important factor for the team, but the coaching staff knew that the suspension was coming so they should have prepared in advance.
The adjustments should have been made at least in one of those three duels because you cannot play the same way with an elite running back and without one. Consecutive losses happen to anyone, and there is no shame in losing. But failing to change things which are not functioning is concerning.
